John Yasutake talks with guests about contemporary community-based issues, as well as their careers and their impact on the community.

Originally from Chicago, John has been a resident of Seattle and active in our community for over 40 years. He is currently active with civil rights organizations The MLK Celebration Committee and the Washington State Civil Rights Coalition. John is a former candidate for the Seattle School Board, and coached youth football and basketball for Cleveland, Nathan Hale, Garfield, and Franklin High Schools, as well as the Central Area Youth Association. He also guest lectures on sociology at South Seattle Community College.
