Overview
Rainier Avenue Radio (RAR) is an independent, multimedia resource that streams diverse radio programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week. RAR provides local news, information, entertainment and educational opportunities for the communities of South Seattle, Renton, and the Central District. RAR also provides computer and digital literacy training to all ages in journalism, radio broadcast, film, photography, social and digital media, and 21st century job skills.
The Rainier Avenue Radio Project consists of pre-design for future physical improvements in converting a 1,900-square foot, second-floor storage area and attic space above the Royal Esquire Club in Columbia City, Seattle, for future use as a public radio broadcasting and multimedia space.
This RFQ is for pre-planning to identify and prioritize physical improvements to the space and provide cost estimates.

Funding comes from a grant from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Matching Fund. Grant funding to be managed by Shunpike.
